PEST Analysis
Political CRB for staff. Funding. First aid on site. | Economical Seasonal – End of terms in each semiars Home economy – free to students being government funded. |
Social Media. Images presented. Religion – open to all. | Technological Informative Chesterfield College website |
The political sector impacts Chesterfield College through funding. The government started introducing cuts to special education in colleges and school in 2010 and is still at this present point cutting back funding for education and sports. This means Chesterfield College cannot offer all of their services to a wide range of special needs students.
Economically the organisation is free as special education students wont be paying for their education as they are being government funded and they are studying through term time it is not a yearlong running business, therefore staff won’t have to delegate all there time to the special educational needs.
The social sector influences are the media. Special education is now a big thing for all colleges as there have been many awareness that disabled people as just as capable of enabled people. This impacts the response from the public and offers disabled students the highest standard education there is.
Technology is a good source of advertising, something that Chesterfield College doesn’t do well currently. The college website has no mention of disability learning, therefore nobody knows a lot about it. Advertising the students, showing pictures and their activities could increase the awareness, popularity, reputation and availability of the college. This could incise future students to want to attend the college and get education.
